Even in today's modern age, this type of relationship would bring upon a certain stigma

Institutionalized Islamophobia in U.S: ROB L. WAGNER
Anti-Muslim hatred is a moneymaking business that has attracted the kind of people who once handed out leaflets on street corners and lived in the basement of their parents' home. People like Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, Frank Gaffney Jr., Walfa Sultan and David Horowitz and his so-called David Horowitz Freedom Center advance the cause of right-wing extremism. In fact, up until 2010, the number of attacks against Muslims dropped since 9/11. According to the FBI there were about 500 attacks against Muslims in 2001, and then incidents fell dramatically by 2009 to just 107. However, in 2010, anti-Muslim attacks rose to 160.

Ramzan is at End, Zakat Is Being Misused, by whoooos???

Ramzan is at End, Zakat Is Being Misused, by whoooos???

Who deserves Zakat? The Quran mentions eight categories of people who can take Zakat: the poor, destitute, the indebted, pilgrims, missionaries, poor non-Muslims who evoke sympathy among the Zakat giver and the collectors of Zakat who are poor. Who cannot get Zakat? Those who are sahi-be-nisaab. A sahi-be-nisaab is defined as one who owns at least 75 grams of gold or 520 grams of silver or an equivalent amount of money which they have saved in a year.

Muslim cleric: Gay sex OK in the service of jihad

"We Are Calling for a New Interpretation of the Koran"

Of course we are not saying the Koran is unfair, but the Koran was interpreted in an unfair way, and we are calling for a new interpretation, or for a renewal of interpretation, in order to build today's Islamic discourse on ethics. We think that this is the core of Islam. For example, the Koran describes the marriage between men and women as something that is based on love and mercy. This is not exactly what you find in fatwas from the old times that describe marriage as a contract – and there are all sorts of conditions that are put in that contract, some fair and some unfair. If you take the essence of the Koranic message, you can renew these contracts and these social norms to make them more equitable, and to give women a greater role in the family and to take care of children's welfare.

Muslim cleric: Gay sex OK in the service of jihad

This fatwa inspired a man to undertake a suicide operation: Malek Ibn Abd Al-Aziz, the interior minister who placed explosives in his rectum. "Sodomy is forbidden, and not permitted, but jihad takes priority because it makes Islam dominant. And if the dominance of Islam cannot be achieved except through sodomy, then it is OK." I remember that Wahhabis in Kuwait used to smuggle drugs — cocaine from Afghanistan and Pakistan — that the Mujahideen of al-Qaida planted. I read in newspapers every day about the arrest of an Afghani who is smuggling drugs in his rectum. We are at the point where Kuwaitis search Afghanis' and Pakistanis' rectums first, before their luggage.
